" I met Laurel in January of 2013. I was looking for a male turquoise parrotlet. When I came to pick him up she had several other parrotlets sitting on the counter. Long story short, a little dilute blue-pied female named "Zoe" stole my heart. I stayed in contact with Laurel for several months and then got busy with life. Fast forward 2 years and I find Laurel again at the Northeast Bird show. We chatted and caught up and I fell in love with a green "Linnie" baby she had, but left without purchasing him. I did end up with another Lutino female Linnie from Laurel that I named Stella. She is a special needs bird and Laurel was looking for just the right home for her. I was that home!
Several weeks ago, I lost my bird Zoe to an egg-laying situation and two veterinarians that stated they were avian vets. Heartbroken, I called Laurel and told her about Zoe. I think she was as sad over my loss as I was...I waited a week or so and contacted Laurel regarding another parrotlet. If you have never owned a parrotlet you are in for a pleasant surprise. I was a big bird person til I got a parrotlet. Laurel had one turquoise male parrotlet that was on a waiting list. She talked with the woman and they both agreed I needed the bird the most. I brought him home and named him Napoleon. He was very shy but with daily work he is coming out of his shell and out of his cage to be with me.
Laurel is an amazing person and breeder and I am grateful to call her my friend. There are no coincidences in this world and in the end...I ended up with the bird I originally went for...
Thank you Laurel for your patience, kindness, and amazing birdie babies!"
Love,
Vicki, Stella, and Napoleon

"I fell in love with parrotlets and knew I had to have one so I researched breeders and found Laurel locally. From day one she always answered my questions (and there were a LOT of questions) and she was always ready to give me helpful suggestions on the care of my new baby. She even opened up her home to allow me to spend time with my Opie Taylor once I selected him. Working with Laurel was nothing but a pleasure and my little Opie Taylor has far exceeded any expectations I had. He is beautiful, loving, and quite the character. I have fallen in love with my little guy and will be forever grateful to Laurel for making that happen! If you are looking for a loving and beautiful companion I would stop here because Laurel's birds are all of those things!"

"Hi, Laurel. I wanted to let you know that this little green rump is a hoot. He settled right in immediately; already steps up onto my finger, and preens and preens and preens when he's not chattering. He's climbing all over the toy you gave him, and he's eating like a horse. I think he feels totally at home, thanks to your great start. I am thrilled!"

" Laurel,
Here is a picture of our little Peanut. He is so much a part of our family now and is such a little character. He is everything you said he would be and more.
I would highly recommend anyone looking for a bird to add to their family, this is the place to go. Laurel is not only knowledgeable but takes her time explaining everything you need to know for the care and well-being of your new addition. There are always questions, advice, etc., and Laurel will answer them thoroughly, and you feel so confident because of her desire that all her birds have loving homes. We drove to Atlanta from So. Carolina to pick up Peanut, and we couldn't wait to get him home and settled. I wanted a bird for my birthday, and I couldn't have asked for a better pick, thanks to Laurel and her TLC in raising her beautiful birds. "

"To whomever it may concern:
If you are interested in Lady Gouldians,
Laurel Manley is absolutely the Lady you want to talk to or buy from. She has been instrumental in my being able to get back into the business. I bought 5 HIGH QUALITY gouldians from here last year and have already raised 5 babies in under a year. She has been great to be able to call anytime to ask questions and answer anything for me. She is an awesome lady who doesn't stop caring after her birds are gone. She truly cares and wants to help in any way she can even AFTER you purchase from her. I have thoroughly enjoyed buying from her and her willingness to help even after almost a year.
Thank you Laurel again for your help and caring.
May GOD bless you and yours."

"This is Mike, my beautiful little Parrolet that I purchased from Laurel. I met Laurel at the bird show in Atlanta and that is where I also met Mike. I brought Mike home from the show and got him all settled, in the the nice cage that Laurel helped me pick out.
Mike was just about 2 months old so needless to say I had a few questions for Laurel after bringing Mike home. Laurel always replied promptly to my emails or phone calls, giving me all the information I needed to make sure that Mike did well.
I would highly recommend Laurel to anyone considering a wonderful companion bird. Mike has turned out to be a real character and I tell him he is like having a monkey in a cage! He is always climbing around his cage from toy to toy or entertaining me swinging by one foot from the top of his cage! He has started talking and can say "hey Mike" and "hey sweetheart." He is constantly jabbering and making little sounds and I look forward to seeing what he spouts out next!"

"I must write and tell you the amazing bird Della I purchased. You have done an incredible job with this special bird. She loves to go everywhere with me on my shoulder. She steps up on command every time.
She is the sweetest creature I have ever known, and we love each other already. Thank you so much for such a wonderful and beautiful girl."

"I first met Laurel online when I was inquiring about purchasing lovebirds. I didn’t really know anything about lovebirds other than the fact that I saw them in a show one time and I wanted a pair ever since. After talking with Laurel, she told me about what she had available and when I met with her personally I knew right away that I found the perfect person to make my lovebird purchase. Being a first-time lovebird owner I went to Laurel a number of times for guidance on the care of my “lovies”. It always seemed that I was in a panic about something and Laurel treated me with the utmost dignity in answering my questions and concerns no matter how absurd. Laurel’s knowledge about these amazing creatures is exceptional. When Bob and I are away we will board our “lovies” with Laurel, confident that they are in excellent hands. We love our Chue & Smokey, they are healthy and beautiful to watch. They each have personalities equal to there energy. We spoil them rotten and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Thank you Laurel Manley and Thunderbird USA!

I had been looking online for a baby parrotlet for a couple of months now. And that's when I ran across THUNDERBIRDS USA's website! And WOW! What
a find! After talking with Laurel thru emails and phone calls, I have to say that I am the very proud owner of a Dilute Turquoise Parrotlet named Toby!
He was flown to me via Delta Airlines. When I picked him up at the airport he was chirping and eating right away! He never missed a lick when I got him home! He adjusted really well to his new environment. He is really a little character......sweet, friendly, energetic and loves to have his neck/head rubbed! He steps up like a little trooper!
He is always whistling in his cage! He is really a very happy little fellow! Loves all his toys! And best of all......Can you believe.......HE TALKS.......he says "Pretty Bird" and wolf whistles! And he's only 3 months old! He's one smart lit cookie! He listens to everything I say to him.
Laurel has done a fantastic job raising him! I couldn't be more happier! She answered all my questions and went way beyond to make sure everything was perfect regarding Toby!
If you are looking for a very healthy, really sweet, energetic baby parrotlet,..... Laurel is the one I recommend! She has the most awesome babies!!!
I am so happy I found her website and my beautiful little Toby!!"
Thank you again so much Laurel!! You're the best!!

"I purchased Kendall from Laurel on November 23rd when she was just 8 weeks old. Laurel was very patient in explaining the current diet that Kendall was on and even took the time to make sure the cage was set up carefully, as well as buckled in safely for her first ride in a car. She took a picture for her birth certificate, which was fabulous-yes her very own birth certificate with picture! Kendall has adjusted quite well and has been nothing but a bundle of joy since she came to live with me. She has learned the step-up command so I'm hopeful to teach her more commands in the future. I recently took her to school for several days and the kids loved her and she loved all of the attention she received. She allowed all the little fingers to act as perches as she went from one finger to the next, never trying to nip at any little fingers. I would recommend Laurel to anyone who is looking for a sweet, socialized, handfed baby or babies as a pet or for breeding purposes. Not only does she take the time to explain and write out diet plans, but she is VERY prompt in responding to emails should questions or concerns arise after you have purchased a sweet baby from her. I can't wait to purchase more from her in the future. "
Best Regards,

"T-Bird is a pocket full of fun!! Comical, curious, loving & social! Learns simple commands quickly & is very playful. Laurel raises wonderful birds in a family environment. She is very helpful in the transition from her home to your home. T-Bird adjusted quickly without any anxiety or stress. I highly recommend Thunderbirds USA & Laurel as a breeder. I love my sweet, soft cuddle bug!"

"We couldn't be happier with our little Thunderbird. It was very obvious from the beginning that Laurel had spent a lot of time with him. He came home to us as a very outgoing, friendly, curious little guy. Right from the start he was willing to let anyone hold him. In my opinion those early days with the breeder are extremely important in forming a bird's relationships with humans all through its life. And Laurel has got it right! Also as an unexpected bonus he has turned out to be a talker. He says "Birdie, Birdie" "Kissy, Kissy" and "Itty, Bitty Baby." "

"Recently I bought two baby masked lovebirds from Laurel Manley in Atlanta. One is blue and one mauve. She trusted me to hand feed and wean, and they are doing wonderfully well. She has been most helpful answering any questions I've had. They have graduated from the incubator to a small cage to their permanent home. I've taken her advice on diet and housing. They are beautiful, healthy birds with very sweet dispositions. In time am looking forward to some beautiful babies. Laurel has an excellent line of birds and recommend her highly to anyone looking for either a pet or for breeding birds. "

"PETTIE THE PARROT
I love my parrotlet. Pettie came home to us and he felt at home by that evening. He was eating and wanting to jump on my finger as soon as I opened the cage. I can tell he is going to be a wonderful addition to our family.
Thanks soooo much,"

"We have been so lucky to have Laurel in our lives. She has the sweetest babies!! My son, who was 13 at the time, bought our wonderful parrotlet, Mojo, about a year ago. He fell in love with this little baby when Mojo was 3 weeks old, and begged me to let him buy Mojo. He has turned out to be the best pet ever. Mojo gave me the ability to find a love for birds I didn't even realize I had. Mojo says about 40 words and phrases now. I can't imagine not having him. I recently was given the opportunity to get Laurel's first-ever hatched Rainbow Lorikeet!!! She is the sweetest, most beautiful baby!!!! I can't say enough good things about Laurel and her birds. You can't go wrong by getting one of her birds. We love her!!!!"

God bless you,"

"These birds are a lot in a little package! Their energy and character make them perfect feathered companions! Corbyn Rasque
Your moustache parakeets are cute but my baby Calypso is CUTER!! Laurel, I just love my little parrotlet and I can see him getting more comfortable and adjusted every single day. Thank you for all the early loving you gave him! Christine.
When I first contacted Laurel at Thunderbirds I knew I had gone to the right place to purchase my new bird Laurel’s knowledge of the different breeds and the qualities of each lead me to the decision to purchase one of her baby parrotlets. A yellow male named Ziggy!
Ziggy is the cutest, happiest little guy. From day one he was “stepping up”, letting us rub his ears and the top of his head. He loves to snuggle, explore his toys, climb all over his cage, and of course “step up”. I brought Ziggy home only a month ago, and he has already exceeded my expectations! I wanted a happy, healthy companion bird in a small package and that is what got.
Laurel’s rearing, handling and love of these little birds made Ziggy the bird he is. When I saw her handle Ziggy I knew she gave him the best start he could have. I have benefitted from that by gaining a pet that has quickly found a place in my heart."

"I met Laurel at a Bird Show in Georgia. I stopped and spoke to her because she had beautiful, healthy birds, and a little crowd was gathering around her table. Laurel let me hold an adorable, yellow parrotlet baby. My eight-year-old daughter and I were smitten. We took Laurel's business card and I emailed her as soon as I got home and within a week, we had our new yellow baby.
We named her "Kiwi" and she has quickly become our new adopted family member. Kiwi is completely tame. She has no fear of humans at all. There was no adjustment period when we brought her home, she immediately was bonded to us.
It is obvious that Laurel loves her babies and spends a lot of time with them. Equally obvious is her attention to the health of her babies. They eat only the best quality seeds and pellets and a varied diet of fresh fruits and veggies. Kiwi is quiet and we really appreciate that. She is also quite neat compared to other small birds that we have had. I would not hesitate to recommend Laurel to anyone looking for a hand-fed, tame parrotlet or any other bird that Laurel breeds as she is an excellent aviarian. "

"After my sons love bird died we were all really sad. I checked out a lot of different breeders but THUNDERBIRDS USA stood out and above all of them. I contacted them, and found a new friend by the name of Laurel (ownerTHUNDERBIRDS USA) . She answered all my questions promptly. My son picked out, with her help a beautiful baby blue Fisher's lovebird and a dilute blue parrotlet. It has been 6 months now and both birds are well settled in and are a part of our family. We thank you Laurel! "
